BACKGROUND

Shut down season will start for Cherry Hill around November, with this time spent on important maintenance, repair and upgrades of equipment to ensure optimal operation for the upcoming peak season. Shutdown maintenance usually comprises of five steps: Initiation, Planning, Scheduling, Execution and Evaluation.

PROJECT

The JACS team is currently in the Planning stage of Cherry Hill Coolstores 2024 maintenance shutdown. During this Planning phase, we make sure we have a clear line of site for our men to complete all maintenance in an efficient and timely manner.

This includes identifying the scope of work, part replacement and repairs, the labour that will be required, sourcing of equipment and other resources required to carry out the shutdown with minimal disruption to the operations.

SHUTDOWN PLANNING PHASE

During this phase the following needs to be considered: shutdown scope; parts and materials; labour hire; equipment; and any other resources required.
